01 Mike Gianoni Joins NGS
Mike Gianoni, President and CEO of Blackbaud and Chairman of the Board at Teradata, has made a strategic investment in NGS and joined the company as a Strategic Advisor. Mike’s investment and involvement come at the start of the next phase of growth for NGS. He will work with the NGS leadership team on strategy, growth, and the path from engineering services company to software company at scale.
02 NGS AI Advisory Launched
NGS launched AI Advisory this quarter and brought in Dr. Carl Henson to help build and grow the practice. The focus is helping organizations move from AI experimentation to practical business use. The practice also brings the security discipline and accountability behind NGS’s defense and intelligence work into how organizations adopt and use AI.
03 Responsible AI Use, in Practice
Responsible AI use is part of how NGS approaches AI. That means setting clear boundaries around what information AI can access, deciding where human approval is required, and naming who owns the outcome. The goal is to help organizations put AI to work with practical controls in place from the start.
CoreSpatial: New dimension, new release
04 CoreSpatial 3d Ready
This quarter, CoreSpatial added a new module. CoreSpatial 3D brings a self-hosted deployment of Cesium ion into the platform, streaming global terrain, imagery, and buildings alongside photorealistic 3D Tiles built from your own drone and photogrammetry data, all running on your own infrastructure, connected or fully disconnected. It's the platform's biggest capability jump since Portal itself, and it's the foundation the rest of this issue's geospatial story builds on.
05 CoreSpatial is Live & Procurable Now
CoreSpatial earned an "awardable" rating on the DoD CDAO Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace, pre-vetted procurement that moves from discovery to contract in about 45 days, and it's live on AWS Marketplace with a 30-day free trial. With 3D and FIPS 140 behind it, procurement is no longer the bottleneck.
06 CoreSpatial Server Reached FIPS 140 Compliance
FIPS 140 compliance is a deciding factor for deployment with many customers, a security-forward focus is not necessarily just a national defense focus. The commercial market is increasingly under similar pressures to implement stricter security practices, and we are here to answer that mail also.
